What is a live presentation, and how is this different?

A live presentation is a talk you deliver to an audience in real time rather than a file you email around afterwards. Most tools do this by screen-sharing a deck built somewhere else; DeckSlide instead sends every attendee the real animated deck, running in their browser and synced to your position in it. Your keyframes, morphs and transitions play on their screen exactly as you authored them, at whatever size their display happens to be.

That matters because the deck and the room are the same product. You are not exporting anything, not sharing a link to a static copy, and not dropping quality through a video stream — the audience sees the genuine deck, live.

Join by code or QR, with no account

Schedule a talk and you get an eight-character code, a join link and a QR code to put on a poster, an email or a slide. Attendees type the code or scan the QR, enter a name, and they are in. Early arrivals wait in a lobby that shows a countdown and moves them into the talk automatically when it begins.

The moment you press Present, the version your audience sees is frozen, so a stray edit mid-talk cannot change what is on screen.

Everyone chats in the room, and any attendee can also message you or a colleague privately — your team sees every private thread in one shared inbox. Attendees raise a hand to signal they want to speak, and you work an ordered queue and mark each one handled.

Your microphone and webcam reach the room alongside the deck, and you can let attendees speak and switch their own cameras on, so the same session can be a broadcast or a conversation.

Can I export or send the deck as a file?

Not as a file — there is no PDF, PPTX, MP4 or image export. A published deck does get its own public page and a link. A deck cannot leave the product as a file, and the only way a second person ever sees it is by joining a live session. If what you need is a document to attach to an email or open offline on a plane, this is deliberately the wrong tool, and something like PowerPoint or Google Slides will suit you better.
